TX-55 Metal Gear Sketch

with Metal Gear Solid V Ground Zeroes Coming out Tomorrow, i decided to sketch up the TX-55 Metal Gear from the first metal gear released for the Japanese MSX2 home computer, if you want to play it in america get MGS3 Subsistence for PS2. This metal gear was actually a prototype of another metal gear called Metal Gear D which is a boss in Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (only in japan, also featured in MGS3 Subsistence) Metal gear 2 is my favorite 8-bit metal gear game (besides the original). this metal gear was destroyed by solid snake in metal gear, you had to destroy in in it's hangar by putting plastic explosives on it's legs in a specific order. in metal gear 2, you actually fight metal gear d and have to defeat it by throwing hand grenades at it's legs. i really think both of the 8-bit metal gears need to be remade in today's graphics (such as MGSV graphics). another cool fact is that the metal gear mk. II from was designed after TX-55 in the game snatcher. in MGS4 on the other hand, the newer model is based off of REX. who knows, maybe this metal gear will appear in the phantom pain or ground zeroes. (probably phantom pain since it's a direct prequel to the original metal gear.
